In this workshop scouts will engage in hands-on learning to explore and investigate diverse adaptations of mammals. Explore our collection of unique mammalian biofacts, learn how the aquarium’s Stranding Response team rescues and rehabilitates harbor seals, learn what it takes to work with mammals, and construct an enrichment item for our harbor seals or river otters.
To provide physical spacing accommodations for all scouts, this workshop is limited to 15 scouts. Scouts must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.
Activities developed within the workshop will satisfy the requirements needed to obtain the Mammal Study Merit Badge, but why stop withthe workshop? Enhance your visit for a chance to meet an extra requirement by hopping onboard the Atlantic Explorer for a Whales Watching boat trip.
